What Is a Pyramid Organizational Structure?
The pyramid structure is the opposite of the "flat structure". Typical bureaucracy. It refers to a traditional organizational structure design in which the functions are strictly divided and the layers are strictly determined through a relatively narrow management range and more management level design when the size of the organization is fixed. The advantage is that the smaller management range allows each supervisor to carefully study the limited information obtained from each subordinate and provide detailed guidance to each subordinate. However, too many management levels affect the speed at which information is transmitted from the bottom to the top, and the information is easily distorted during the multi-level transmission, which complicates the control of the plan.
