What Is the Cingulate Cortex?

The cingulate cortex is the cerebral cortex located in the cingulate gyrus. The cingulate cortex extends from the vicinity of the carcass to the cingulate groove from the bottom to the front. According to the Brodmann zoning system, the cingulate cortex includes zones 23, 24, 26, 29, 30, 31 and 32.
